El baño turco, también conocido como baño árabe o hamam, es una modalidad de baño de vapor que consiste en una limpieza y purificación del cuerpo en un proceso de relajación. Al igual que la sauna convencional, el baño turco o hammam se sirve del calor para producir beneficios en el cuerpo, pero en este caso el calor suministrado es a través de calor húmedo, con vapor de agua.
La temperatura es inferior a la sauna seca, oscilando entre 25-50 grados según la altura, y la humedad relativa del 99%, con lo que el ambiente está saturado de vapor de agua e impide el proceso de sudoración. Es por esta razón que en el baño turco se suda menos que en la sauna finlandesa.

As in the classic sauna, the turkish bath uses the heat to produce benefits to the body, but in this case the heat comes from water vapour. The temperature is less than the dry sauna, ranging from 25-50 degrees depending on the height, and the relative humidity of 99%, so that the atmosphere is saturated with water vapor and prevents the process of sweating.
